ABOUT THE ROLE
The Development and Prospect Research Associate will play a key role in supporting MVP’s fundraising efforts through prospect research, data management, and administrative support. This role will help identify and prioritize high potential donors, support Donor Advisors in their work, and ensure strong data integrity across our systems.

Prospect Research and Pipeline Development
- Manage MVP’s prospect research program. Research and document capacity, source of wealth, and support donor advisors with recommended ask amounts.
- Conduct ongoing research to identify new individual and institutional prospects
- Analyze data to improve how we identify and prioritize prospects.
- Prepare clear, concise research profiles and briefings for leadership and events.
Salesforce and Data Management
- Maintain accurate and up to date prospect research notes in Salesforce Nonprofit Cloud.
- Ensure strong data integrity and consistent record keeping practices.
- Manage donor record updates, cleanup, and overall database health.
- Support revenue reporting and data tracking.
- Identify and merge duplicate records in the CRM.
Donor Advisor and Administrative Support
- Partner with the Development Operations Manager to support Donor Advisors with Salesforce needs such as reporting, household management, opportunity updates and event prospecting.
- Support donor team with their monthly expense reporting and other administrative needs as assigned.
- Provide general team support including calendar coordination, materials prep, and logistics.
Events and Team Support
- Support pre- and post-event communication with invitees and attendees.
- Manage note taking and recordings for Donor Team and cross-team meetings.
- Support internal systems and workflows including Salesforce requests.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 2 - 5 years of experience in a nonprofit development environment.
- Experience with prospect research tools and best practices.
- Strong organizational skills and project management skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort working with data and systems, specifically fundraising CRMs (experience with Salesforce is a huge plus).
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively - this role will be a primary collaborator on our team.
- Proactive, detail oriented, and solutions focused.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Comfort using tools like Airtable and Google Suite.
- Experience supporting fundraising teams or major gift officers in a fast paced environment.
- Experience working in a multi entity nonprofit structure (e.g. c3, c4, PAC) is a plus.
OTHER DETAILS
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Full-time, remote, exempt position (must be based in the continental United States and be available to work 9-5 on PT, MT, CT, or ET time zone).
- Some travel is required for team retreats and conferences (~10%).

SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 (based on experience), plus a generous benefits package.
