About Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity

Families in Milwaukee and all across the United States are paying too high a price to cover the cost of their home. 1 in 3 Milwaukee renters pay half or more of their income on housing, while others are struggling to afford critical repairs. Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity makes homeownership and critical repairs affordable for local families in need. Habitat’s affordable mortgage ensures families don’t spend more than 30% of their income on housing, allowing them to invest in nutrition, education, health care and savings. Through new home construction, affordable mortgage opportunities, and critical home repair Milwaukee Habitat is building homes, communities and hope in our area.

Since our founding in 1984, Milwaukee Habitat has served more than 1300 local families in need of safe, affordable housing. Together we can make the cost of home something we all can afford.
