Company Profile
Chippewa Valley Free Clinic
Company Overview
The mission of the Chippewa Valley Free Clinic is to provide quality health care services to and advocacy for the people of the Chippewa Valley who have no reasonable health care alternative. Eligible patients must have an income below 185% of the federal poverty line (approximately 60% CMI), not qualify for government medical benefits, and not have personal health insurance. These patients truly "fall through the cracks." All services at CVFC are provided at no cost to the patient: exams, labs/imaging, medication, and social services. In 2009, CVFC served 788 people with 2,613 visits. Since opening in 1997, CVFC has served over 6,500 people with over 27,000 patient visits. Our extensive use of volunteers and discounted/donated medication and medical supplies makes our system very efficient. For less than the cost of one emergency room visit, just $405, we provide primary medical care for one patient for an entire year.
