Position Overview The Grant Writer’s primary responsibility is to craft compelling grant proposals that secure funding from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other grant-making organizations, ensuring alignment with the client’s mission, strategic priorities, and funding objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Proposal Development & Writing
Preparation of grant proposals and letters of intent, including writing, editing, and ensuring the submission of high-quality applications.
Tailor each proposal to meet the unique requirements and objectives of the funder.
Develop clear, persuasive, and concise content for proposals, letters of inquiry, and other fundraising materials.
Collaboration & Coordination:
When necessary, collaborate with CM grant strategists, client staff, and CM leadership to gather relevant data, budgets, and program details for proposals.
Database Management:
Keep track of client tasks and documents through SharePoint and Communication Mark’s internal CRM, Teamwork.

Requirements
Qualifications
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or a related field or equivalent experience.
Experience:
3+ years of experience in grant writing, with a proven track record of securing large-scale grants from government agencies, foundations, or corporations.
Skills:
Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading abilities.
Strong research skills, with the ability to analyze and synthesize complex information.
Familiarity with the grant funding landscape and a deep understanding of proposal requirements for different types of funders.
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Proficiency in grant management software and CRM tools (e.g., SharePoint, Teamwork, etc.).
Preferred Attributes:
Experience in a nonprofit or educational environment.
Familiarity with budget development and financial management related to grant applications.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and exercise sound judgment.
