We’re seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven individual to serve as our Treasurer. This volunteer will oversee the financial health of our organization, ensuring transparency, compliance, and strategic stewardship of our resources. You’ll be a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors and will work with program delivery partners to enable our mission through sound financial practices.

Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with nonprofit financial regulations and reporting, implementing best practices for sound financial governance
Oversee budgeting and forecasting in collaboration with leadership and program delivery partners
In coordination with contracted CPA and bookkeeper:
Maintain accurate financial records
Manage bank accounts, reconcile statements, and track income/expenses to ensure they are in accordance with the approved annual budget and grant requirements
Prepare financial reports for the Board on a monthly and annual basis or at other times as requested by the Board
File annual tax documents (e.g., IRS Form 990)
Assist with grant tracking, donor contributions, and fundraising accounting
Ensures long term archival needs of HFR financial information
Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person)
Qualifications
Experience in business accounting, finance, or nonprofit financial management
Understanding of nonprofit governance, compliance and reporting requirements
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and communicate clearly
Passion for youth development, STEM, or education is a plus!
