Job Description Summary:
In collaboration with a physician or designee, the Advanced Practice Provider assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients of all ages in an ambulatory care setting and performs procedures.
What Youll Do:
- Provide comprehensive outpatient wound care services
- Manage acute and chronic wounds with a patient-centered approach
- Conduct:
- 60-minute new patient visits
- 30-minute follow-up visits
- Maintain your own patient panel
- Collaborate remotely with vascular surgeons in Madison
- Practice in a clinic supported by multiple RNs and an LPN
Schedule & Work Environment:
- 40 hours per week
- Flexible scheduling options:
- 4 ten-hour days
- 5 eight-hour days
- 4.5-day schedule option
- No call
- No inpatient rounding
Requirements:
Education and Experience
- Graduate degree from an accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing
- 1 year experience as a nurse practitioner or 2 years registered nurse experience in an acute care setting
License and/or Certifications
State of Work Location: Wisconsin
- Basic Life Support HealthCare Provider (BLS HCP) - American Heart Association (AHA) And
- Registered Nurse (RN) Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) Multi-State - Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services OR
- RN State Compact License
- And one (1) of the following:
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult) (ACNPC) - American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN)
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Adult-Gerontology) (ACNPG-AG) - American Association of Critical-Care Nurses (AACN)
- Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGACNP-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Adult Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGNP) - American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)
- Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Certification (AGPCNP-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
- Adult Nurse Practitioner Certification (ANP-BC) - American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC)
